Cascade funding finances mini EU projects with a defined problem and limited duration. The funding comes from a larger EU project, where the European Commission requires that a part of the grant must go to new calls. Through the these calls the main project channels funds to many mini EU projects. The main project is a RIA, IA or CSA project. The financing is also known as Financial Support to third parties (FSTP).
