At the request of the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, the Danish e-infrastructure Consortium (DeiC) developed a National Strategy for Data Management Based on FAIR Principles in 2021. The strategy provides the basis for the implementation of FAIR research data in Denmark.
The target audience for the strategy includes researchers and senior management at Danish universities, memory institutions that support research, and other institutions conducting publicly funded research.
The strategy sets out a number of principles and identifies initiatives aimed at advancing the successful implementation of the strategy, including the development of practices for managing research data in accordance with the FAIR Principles.
The strategy applies to publicly funded research data, understood as data resulting from research funded by public funds or research conducted by public institutions, potentially including private funding.
