Commissioned by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science, the Danish e-Infrastructure Consortium (DeIC) developed a National Strategy for Data Management based on the FAIR principles in 2021. The strategy provides the foundation for the implementation of FAIR research data in Denmark.
The target audience for the strategy is researchers and university leadership at Danish universities, research-supporting heritage institutions, and other institutions that conduct research with public funding.
The strategy sets out a number of principles and identifies initiatives to promote the process towards successful implementation of the strategy, including the development of practices for managing research data in accordance with the FAIR principles.
The strategy applies to publicly funded research data, understood as the results of research funded by public resources or research conducted by public institutions, potentially including private funding.
