Open Science

Open Science means that knowledge is made directly accessible and openly available to a much greater extent to a broad range of users, including businesses, institutions and citizens. This applies both to research publications (Open Access) and to the research data underpinning research (FAIR research data). Increased access to publications and data makes the research process significantly more transparent. It also has a positive impact on research integrity by improving opportunities to reproduce and verify research findings.

Open Science in Danmark

In Denmark, the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science focuses on three areas within Open Science:

1. Open Access to research publications 
2. FAIR research data
3. Integrity in Research.
