Are you a researcher or innovator looking to expand your international network? You can now apply to join the Management Committee (MC) of one of 80 new international networks in fields such as vaccines, artificial intelligence or conservation of modern art. The application deadline is 21 June 2026.
The new international research networks (called Actions) are funded by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), and the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science nominates up to two members from Denmark to the Management Committee for each Action. The Actions bring together researchers and innovators across disciplines and national borders to explore a topic of their own choice. The purpose is to strengthen European research and innovation capacity. Among other things, COST funds training schools, seminars, and researchers’ access to research infrastructure, but it does not fund research itself.
The 80 new Actions cover a broad range of academic fields with topics as wide-ranging and diverse as:

Each Action is organized around a Management Committee and a number of working groups. The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science may nominate up to two members from Danish institutions, companies, etc. to each Management Committee. The Management Committee is responsible for admitting members to the working groups.

The deadline is the 21. June 2026 at 23.59
Please note: The application must be signed, dated, and submitted in PDF format.
As there are only two spots in each Management Committee, the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science selects participants based on criteria that ensure the best possible diversity in terms of participating institutions, gender, and number of years as a researcher after completing a PhD. Danish Main Proposers and Secondary Proposers will be given priority for the available spots.
Applications will be processed after the deadline on 21 June 2026. Applications will be processed continuously and no later than 3 July.
From June 12 the 80 new COST Actions is available on the COST website
